What about a lil breakfast post to brighten your week!
As you all know I am crazy about my breakfast and that’s one of the reasons that I’ve written a breakfast only cookbook filled with 70 recipes to bring some extra excitement to your mornings. So, back to what this post is about, muesli.
I was recently approached by Alfresco Organic Muesli to taste and review their unique muesli. Lately I’ve started enjoying granola and muesli not only for breakfast but also as a snack, especially on those evenings when dinner is taking too long to get ready and the hunger can’t wait.
So you can imagine my excitement when I saw and tasted this product. What I loved the most was how they’ve found a way to incorporate passion fruit and tree tomatoes in their muesli. I mean who does that! They worked tirelessly to create a recipe that married all those local flavours together and my has it worked. The sweetness of the dried pineapple compliments the crunchiness of the nuts and oats plus the tangy tree-tomato seeds so well. You’ve got to taste it to know it. I must say that the fruit deluxe is my favourite.
The cool thing is that they also have a nutmeg espresso muesli that is equally as good.
I also fell in love with their glass tin packaging since it is more hygienic than plastic.
And the cool thing is that a 400 grams tin is only 500 bob while they also have smaller snack sized tins (110 grams) that can currently be found at Titanium gym Westlands, the perfect post-workout snack.
I enjoyed mine over the weekend with some vanilla yoghurt and fresh fruit, the perfect healthy breakfast packed with nutrients.
